New Year's Photo Cards
I've been busy working on the last of my holiday designs for the upcoming 2013 season. Voting is now open for two Minted design challenges: The Happy New Year's Card Challenge and the Quickfire Holiday Minibook Card Challenge. The Big Holiday Card Challenge
As most of you know, I design stationery part-time and enter Minted design challenges whenever I can. Every year they host a competition in search of the best and freshest holiday photo card designs. It is the mother of all challenges and the truly talented designers are handsomely rewarded with big cash prizes! The holiday card challenge grows bigger and more competitive each year, as new designers join the Minted community. There are 3348 entries this time around and many of the designs are AH-MAAAZ-ING! I put my best foot forward and submitted 25 designs to the competition. I had fun experimenting with different styles, typography and illustration. The stakes are high for this challenge, so I would be forever grateful if you could help me out and vote on my entries. Voting is open until June 24th and my designs can be found at the links below. You can rate designs on a scale of 1-5 and Minted sells many of the high-scoring designs. I love 5's of course! To keep the voting system as fair as possible, Minted asks that you try and vote on some of the other designers' entries as well right here . I recently entered a few designs into Minted's Holiday Party Invitation Challenge. I pulled these designs together rather quickly, but I was pretty happy with the outcome of my "Modern Botanicals" party invite (pictured below). Art Prints for Minted + West Elm Challenge
Minted has partnered with West Elm for an exciting art challenge! In this challenge, both Minted and West Elm will select prints as winners. West Elm’s selections will be sold exclusively through West Elm online and in all West Elm retail stores. It's an awesome opportunity! I wish I had found more time and inspiration for this challenge. There was some steep competition and talent in this one. I did manage to squeeze in 2 entries which I paired with West Elm décor in accompanying inspiration boards seen below.
